Join us on Thursday, October 16 from 5–7 p.m. at the Hamilton East Public Library, Fishers Branch (Five Municipal Drive, Fishers, IN 46038) for a community letter-writing night to protect Indiana's democracy.
Washington outsiders want our lawmakers to redraw the state's Congressional maps, an unnecessary process that would take place just a few years after they drew the current maps.
We need our lawmakers focused on challenges we're all facing right now: skyrocketing energy bills, inflation and property taxes.
At this event, Hoosiers will write personal letters to their state representatives, senators and the governor urging them to oppose mid-cycle redistricting.
We'll provide all materials, sample letters and a short training on how to make your message effective. Refreshments will be served, and you'll have the chance to meet partner organizations offering information on other ways to strengthen democracy in Indiana.
